Olive trees (Olea europaea) are hardy, drought-tolerant Mediterranean plants, but they thrive best when their core lighting, watering, and pruning needs are met precisely. Sunlight: Requires 6 to 8 hours of direct sunlight daily. Indoors, place directly in front of a south- or west-facing window; supplement with a strong LED grow light if leaf drop occurs.
Watering: Water deeply once the top 2–3 inches of soil are completely dry. Always use pots with drainage holes to prevent root rot—olive roots cannot tolerate standing water. Reduce frequency during late autumn and winter.
Soil & Drainage: Use a gritty, well-draining soil blend (such as a 50/50 mix of potting soil and perlite, pumice, or coarse sand).
Fertilizer: Apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer or a high-nitrogen liquid fruit feed once a month from spring through early autumn. Do not fertilize in winter.
Pruning & Maintenance
Timing: Prune in late winter or early spring before new growth begins.
Canopy Thinning: Remove dead, crossing, or inward-growing branches to let sunlight and air flow into the center of the canopy.
Suckers: Snip off water sprouts or suckers emerging from the base of the trunk immediately so energy goes to the main canopy.

• If no one is available at the time of delivery, our team will contact you to reschedule.
• After two failed attempts, an additional re-delivery fee may be charged.
